High-Producing Structured Finance Specialist Named Executive Vice President of Capital Markets
ATLANTA, GA, February 28, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Moving to expand its capital markets platform, Ackerman & Co. has hired Jonathan Rice as Executive Vice President of Capital Markets. Rice joins the firm from CBRE, where he spent more than 20 years as a key member of the firm's Atlanta finance team. In his new role, he will focus on arranging debt and equity financing for both third-party clients and Ackerman's in-house investments.

Jonathan will work closely with Ackerman's Investments team, including Evan Ziegler, President of Investments, and Leo Wiener, President of Ackerman Retail. He'll focus on providing permanent financing, construction financing, value-add financing and other capital solutions for a wide range of property types, including hospitality, retail, mixed-use, industrial and office.

Jonathan comes to Ackerman from CBRE, where he was Senior Vice President in the firm's Capital Markets Debt & Structured Finance Group. Before CBRE, he was Senior Managing Director of Insignia/ESG Capital Advisors prior to the firm's merger with CBRE in 2003. He also was Director at Holliday Fenoglio Fowler and Southeast Regional Director of FINOVA Realty.
Over the course of his career, Jonathan has arranged in excess of $10 billion in transactions. Some of his major transactions in both leading and support roles with CBRE include: the original construction financing and historic tax credit equity raise on behalf of Jamestown for Ponce City Market, one of the largest and most successful adaptive reuse projects in the Southeast U.S.; debt and equity financing on behalf of Novare Group for multiple SkyHouse multifamily tower projects, including the brand's first tower, the 23-story SkyHouse Midtown; construction financing on behalf of 725 Ponce, an innovative 370,931-square-foot office/retail project featuring cutting-edge modern architecture positioned along the Eastside Atlanta BeltLine; acquisition financing on behalf of KKR for the 24-story Sales Force Tower in Buckhead; debt financing for Westside Provisions District on Atlanta's Westside; and debt and equity financing for the 1,500-room Hilton & Waldorf Astoria at Bonnet Creek in Orlando.
