Standard, 2-level inverter/drive solutions are not suited for the demands of high-speed, high-power flywheel and turbo machinery applications. Leveraging our experience in high-speed applications and our partnership with Sieb & Meyer AG, SPINDEL Electronics offers high-speed, high-power integrated drives solutions with 3-level inverter technology to ensure low rotor losses which reduces bearing load and prevents excessive heating of the machine.

With support for applications up to 500 kVA and 120,000 RPM using either synchronous or asynchronous machines, SPINDEL can provide solutions for the turbo expander and turbo compressor market. Systems are engineered for each application and include high-speed generator control, regeneration to line, and protection for overvoltage and overspeed, as required.
